Among other things...

My oath to try to keep updating my blog every Sunday has failed sadly but since we are heading into vacation time soon i may just retry it once more. As the school term draws to a close we are faced with end of term exams and our art end of term takes the form of a portfolio presentation . I have to hand in a pastel drawing of a fruit and a painting of a fruit. Along with a figure drawing , a final for the invitation template, a painting of a leaf and finally the blog. Over the length of this term i realized the importance of time management because of the various extra curricular activities i participate in and the demand of each. At the moment , my camera is not functioning properly so i am unable to get photos of my portfolio work to present on the blog and they cannot be scanned because the work is too large. Hopefully i will get that problem rectified soon.

On another note, the art community is buzzing on the topic of the artist Ai Weiwei due to his recent arrest . For those reading this post and have no clue as to who Ai Weiwei is , he is a chinese national and also a famous artist  and a political activist. He is mainly known for his work of art called " The sunflower seeds" . He was arrested and held for approximately 2 months without any formal charges or reasons for his detainment. Many businesses and the art community have showed their disgust with what has happened to him and many signs have been seen to release him.
